Shopping Centre Cleaning

About this service

A shopping centre never really closes, and neither does the cleaning. InfyWorx provides trained, inducted cleaning crews to shopping centres, retail precincts and mixed-use properties across Australia. Day porters through trading hours, overnight teams after close, and extra crews for your busiest weeks.

What does shopping centre cleaning involve?

It runs on two layers. Day porters work through trading hours on spills, amenities, food court tables and litter, while overnight crews handle floor machines, deep cleaning and back of house. Add car parks, travelators, bin rooms and loading docks, and you are covering a site that behaves more like a small suburb than a building.

Day porters or overnight crews?

You need both, and the split depends on your foot traffic. Centres with large food courts and family amenities carry more day porters, because a spill at midday cannot wait until 11pm. Machine work, escalator cleaning and hard floor programs almost always run overnight when the mall is empty.

What's included

  • Day porter coverage: Roving cleaners through trading hours handling spills, litter, glass, seating and anything a shopper is about to walk into.
  • Food court cleaning: Table clearing and wiping, tray returns, floor spot cleaning and grease management through peak and after close.
  • Public amenities servicing: Scheduled restroom and parents room rounds with cleaning, restocking and logged checks so standards hold all day.
  • Mall floor care: Ride-on and walk-behind scrubbing, buffing, polishing and sealing across tile, terrazzo, vinyl and timber.
  • Escalator and travelator cleaning: Comb plates, balustrades, handrails and tread cleaning on a scheduled program with correct isolation procedures.
  • Gum and stain removal: Steam and chemical removal from mall floors, entries, seating areas and external walkways.
  • Car park cleaning: Sweeping, pressure washing, line-of-sight tidying, lift lobbies, stairwells and entry ramps.
  • Glass and entry presentation: Automatic doors, entry glass, balustrades, directory boards and centre signage kept clean and print-free.
  • Bin rooms and waste management: Compactor areas, waste streaming, bin washing and keeping loading docks clear and compliant.
  • Back of house and common areas: Service corridors, retailer access ways, lifts, stairwells and staff amenities.
  • Spill and incident response: Rapid attendance, correct signage and documented incident logging to reduce your slip and fall exposure.
  • Event and seasonal support: Extra crews for Christmas trade, sales periods, school holidays and centre events, scaled to your calendar.

Effectiveness

Lower slip and fall exposure

Public liability claims in retail centres are expensive and hard to defend without records. Fast spill response and documented cleaning rounds give you a defensible position.

Shoppers who stay longer

Dwell time drops when amenities are dirty and food court tables are full of trays. Presentation is a trading number, not just a housekeeping one.

Retailers who stop complaining

Common area cleanliness is one of the loudest topics in retailer feedback. Consistent standards make your centre management meetings a lot quieter. Common area cleanliness is one of the loudest topics in retailer feedback. Consistent standards make your centre management meetings a lot quieter.

Crews who are already compliant

Our cleaners come inducted, insured and documented, with SWMS in place. That saves your team the usual contractor onboarding grind.

Capacity that matches your trading calendar

Christmas trade and school holidays need more people, not the same roster working harder. We scale crews up and back on your schedule.

One accountable contact

Your centre gets an account manager who walks the site and answers the phone. Not a call centre and not a different supervisor every month.

How it works

  1. Site walkthrough and scope

We walk the centre with your Centre or Facilities Manager, covering GLA, floor types, amenity count, food court size, car park levels and trading hours.

  2. Scope of works and quote

You receive a task frequency schedule, crew structure across day and night, machine program and a fixed price. Clear inclusions, no assumptions.

  3. Compliance and induction

We complete your contractor management requirements, site inductions and SWMS before anyone starts, and provide insurance and licence documentation upfront.

  4. Mobilisation

Day porters and overnight crews start on the agreed roster with a named site supervisor. Equipment, chemicals and consumables arrive with them.

  5. Auditing and reporting

Scheduled site audits, amenity check logs, incident records and monthly reporting your centre management team can take to owners.

  6. Review and scale

Scope reviews as trading patterns shift, plus surge crews for Christmas, sales events and centre activations.
